This was by far the hottest day I have rode in. I snapped some great shots and then right before I was about to make a 1000ft climb over 6 miles, I got a flat in the middle of the valley. The temperature was 110 and I caught a staple in my tire. I changed out my tire on the side of the rode and then found the nearest shade I could, it was a little fruit shop. I went in and bought some cherries and just got out of the sun for about 20 minutes. Had a delightful conversation with the older woman who owned the store. We parted ways and I thanked her for the shade.
I started to ride and came across a car on the side of the road and there were 4 people around the age of 18-20 hanging around the car. They had a flat tire, so I offered my services to help fix the tire. We got the flat off, but the spare was too small, so I told them had had to either get a new spare or call a tow truck. I bid them farewell and rode to the base of the hill and there was a gas station there. I stopped to fill up the water and just relax for a bit, that's when I met, Marty.
Am enjoying all the pictures. I don't envy your ride up the mountains as they are pretty difficult in a car. Good luck!
