After the grub Marty took us to his mother-in-law's house on the river. We went boating and tried surfing the wake of the boat. The boat was great and I met some great guys. I had never seen anyone surf behind a boat and I was definitely looking forward to trying it, but we broke the drive shaft of th boat before I was able to give it a try.
Marty drove us around the mountains before we headed back to his place and slept in the backyard.
Marty has a huge South African Boerbeoldog named Alpy and she was a doll to play with. Spent lots of time chasing her around. Marty made us a delicious breakfast again all locally grown from his garden or caught fresh locally. I dropped my bike off to his buddy, Scott, who runs his own bike shop out of his garage (Spokane Bike Repair) and he fixed me up and got me ready to ride. Said thanks to Marty and Amasa for their hospitality and had a late start for Priest River, Idaho.
Quick note about the trash cans. The SMALLEST one is the one for general waste and the blue one is recycle and the green one is compost. AWESOME!!
